Choose a creature you can see within 30 meters. The target must make a Fortitude skill check contested by your Magic skill.
- On a failure, the creature takes Physical damage plus your Magic Skill equal to the margin of failure and its movement speed is reduced to 0 until the start of its next turn.
- While the spell persists, the target must repeat the Fortitude check at the start of each of its turns. On a failure, it takes damage equal to the new margin of failure and its speed is again reduced to 0 until its next turn.
- Flying creatures that fail the initial check immediately lose the ability to fly and begin to fall.
